Delete it yourself

1. Sign in to the carbindr Android app, or to carbindr.com.
2. Open the account menu and choose Delete account.
3. Enter your password, type DELETE to confirm, and choose Delete my account.

If you sign in with Google or Facebook and have no password, first use Forgot password to set one. Personal and shop accounts are separate, so delete each one you want removed.

If you can't sign in, email carbindrhq@gmail.com from your account's email address and ask us to delete it. We aim to respond within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your account, vehicles, service records, parts, documents, photos, settings, diagnostic readings from an OBD-II adapter, and the device tokens of any phones monitoring your car. Records and uploaded files are removed from the live service immediately.

What is kept, and for how long

• Encrypted database backups last up to 7 days before being overwritten. We don't restore deleted accounts from them.
• If you made a contribution or once held a subscription, those payment and refund records (Stripe identifiers, amount and dates) are kept without your name or account, so refunds and disputes can still be handled. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own rules.
• Service records a shop has shared with its customers stay in those customers' history when a shop account is deleted.
• A shop you shared a car with keeps anything it already copied into its own records.

The app also keeps its settings and any unsent readings on your phone. Uninstalling it removes them. Full details are in our privacy policy.
